A TikTok gaming influencer is a creator who posts short videos about games: gameplay clips, skits, tips or highlights from their streams. On TikTok, the feed shows a clip to people who don’t follow the creator, so the right influencer for your game is the one whose game videos people watch to the end. Followers come second.

| Skit creators | Short sketches about how it feels to play | Personality and social games |
| Tips and news creators | Quick guides, patch news, codes | Live games, updates and events |
| Mobile game creators | Gameplay and events for mobile titles | Installs, often regional |

How to find TikTok gaming influencers
- Search the games your players love. Search TikTok for those games and your genre’s hashtags. Note who appears again and again with strong views.
- Look at the last 20 posts, not the best one. One viral clip says little. A steady median says a lot.
- Watch the clip channels of streamers. Streamers who already cover your genre on Twitch often have clips that travel on TikTok, posted by them or their fans.
- Go local. Gaming on TikTok is regional. For Monopoly GO! in Japan, 11 creators made Golden Week content that delivered 4.27m views with localized hashtags and hooks.
Vetting checklist
Before you book a TikTok creator, check:
- Median views per post over the last 20 posts, not total likes.
- Watch-through. Ask how many viewers watch to the end on a typical post.
- Where viewers live. Audience countries and languages from TikTok analytics.
- Game fit. Recent posts about your genre, not only trends.
- Comments. Real reactions to the games they post about.
- Disclosure. That they use TikTok’s branded content setting for paid posts.
- Ad rights. If you want to run the clips as ads, agree on it before the post goes up.
Briefing TikTok gaming influencers
Send one moment, not a script. Name the moment from your game, the action you want (install, wishlist or a code) and the must-haves, like the game’s name and the disclosure. Leave the hook, the sound and the format to the creator. Viewers scroll past anything that looks like an ad.
Then test. Let a handful of creators try different angles, see which clips people watch to the end, and scale the one that works. Our TikTok page covers formats, trends, sounds and how we run campaigns.
Measure what matters
Views show reach. Shares and comments show whether people cared. Tracking links, installs and Creator Codes show whether anyone played. TikTok gives creators fewer places for a link, so a code that’s easy to say out loud often does more work. If clips get paid boosts, report boosted and unboosted views separately.
Expect a few posts to carry the campaign. In our short form tracker, the best post in a typical campaign brought 29% of all its views, so look at the whole campaign before you judge a creator on one clip (Wehype’s short form tracker, paid posts by booked creators, pulled November 4, 2026).
