A Twitch sponsorship is a simple deal. A brand pays a streamer to play its game, show a product or run a segment live, and the streamer’s viewers watch it happen in real time. What changed is how the deal finds the streamer.
From Bounty Board to Sponsorship Dashboard
For years there were two ways in. Big streamers had agents and direct deals. Everyone else had the Twitch Bounty Board, a list of paid offers that was empty most of the time.
In February 2025 Twitch started over. It added a Sponsorships tab to the Creator Dashboard, launched Creator Profiles so streamers could pitch their channel to brands, and said the Bounty Board would move into the new dashboard as opt in campaigns. In August 2026 it opened all of it to Affiliates worldwide.
Today the Sponsorship Dashboard is where a streamer sees offers, accepts them and tracks what they need to deliver.
What streamers see
When a campaign matches their profile, a streamer gets a notification and an email. In the dashboard they read the brief: the game, the stream time, what to show, the link to share and the pay. If it fits, they accept. Some campaigns are open invites anyone eligible can join until the spots run out. Others invite a targeted group.
Offers also come from partners. Twitch has a section for third party campaigns, and that’s where Wehype campaigns appear.
Streamers who want more offers can fill in their Creator Profile, add clips to their Sponsorship Highlights and, for Affiliates, complete the Creator Sponsorship Certification on Creator Camp.
How games reach streamers in the dashboard
You have three practical options.
Go to Twitch directly. Twitch sells its own sponsored campaigns. Minecraft’s Tiny Takeover in April 2026 was the first one Affiliates could join.
Use a partner like Wehype. On August 20, 2026, Twitch named Wehype as a partner supplying campaigns in the dashboard. With Twitch Integration your campaign shows up as an offer from Wehype for your game. Our first one live was EA’s Battlefield 6.
Book streamers one by one. Still the right call when you need specific people on a specific day. That’s a managed Creator Campaign.
Most of our clients mix the last two. A managed lineup carries the big moment, and Twitch Integration fills the long tail around it.
Why the long tail matters on Twitch
Small streamers are where a lot of games break out. Their chats are small enough to talk back, their viewers trust them, and they often cost less per hour than a big channel. Before the Sponsorship Dashboard, reaching them meant a spreadsheet and hundreds of emails.
For GeoGuessr we went almost entirely small: 376 creators across English speaking countries, the EU and Brazil delivered 8.5M+ viewer minutes on Twitch. For the Guild Wars 2 expansion we learned that larger creators built awareness and prestige, while smaller creators were better at turning viewers into players. Plan for both jobs.
Our campaign data puts numbers on it. In our Twitch campaigns from 2024 to 2026, streamers with 25 to 99 viewers got 318% more chat messages per viewer hour and 172% more link clicks per viewer than streamers with 2,000+ viewers. The big channels delivered most of the viewer minutes; the small ones delivered the conversation.
Targeting: Who sees your offer
A good sponsorship reaches streamers whose viewers already like your kind of game. With Twitch Integration you pick:
- Viewership range, so the offer fits your budget and goal.
- Country, for the markets your launch or update targets.
- Games played, so a tactical shooter reaches streamers who play tactical shooters.
- Brand safety checks, so your game shows up on channels you’re happy to stand next to.
We also use Community Insights to find streamers who already play your game and invite them first.
What to measure
Agree on the goal before anything goes live. On Twitch that’s usually viewer minutes, peak concurrent viewers, cost per hour and clicks on tracking links in chat and panels. For Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Ubisoft and our team ran a launch centered on Twitch with 61 streamers across the UK and the Nordics, and viewer minutes came in 108% over target in the UK and 39% over in the Nordics.
With Wehype you see the data live while streams run, and streamers get paid in 3 banking days once they deliver.
A useful benchmark for any campaign: how streams did against what was expected at booking. Across our sponsored Twitch streams from 2024 to 2026, the median stream drew 9% more viewers than expected, 59% beat the expected audience and only 5% fell below half of it.
