Frostrail was one of the top demos at Steam Next Fest

A frozen train, 28 Twitch creators and a demo week that ran longer than we booked.

Frostrail was one of the top demos during October’s Steam Next Fest, out of thousands. Huge congrats to FakeFish and Shiro Games! Frostrail is their survival FPS about running a steam-powered train through a frozen world, solo or in co-op.

We spent the week on Frostrail’s frozen train too, together with 28 Twitch creators across North America. They streamed the demo for their communities, and people showed up: more than 21,000 hours watched and over 50,000 chat messages.

We used our data models to select the creators with the highest potential to click with Frostrail, and went for a two hour stream with each. 96% of them kept going past that mark, and together they gave Frostrail 45% earned stream time.

Twitch creator Dunc was one of them. In the clip, he’s trying to get his co-op crew to stop touching things on the train.
