Battlefield 6 with EA and GETREKT Labs: Live challenges, audience polls and YouTube drops

GETREKT LabsWehype x GETREKT Labs

Battlefield is back, and we got to help EA bring it to creators in the UK together with our friends at GETREKT Labs.

From the reveal and the closed and open betas in August 2025 to the launch on October 10 and REDSEC on October 28, some of the UK’s biggest FPS creators played Battlefield 6 live on Twitch and YouTube, with dedicated videos and short form on YouTube and TikTok alongside. Wehype handled the creators, the campaign and the reporting. GETREKT Labs built the live stream production and the mechanics that made every broadcast interactive.

One look across every stream

Every creator got the same branded production package: new scenes, transitions, animated alerts and webcam overlays built around EA’s Battlefield 6 launch creative. With that many creators live at once, it gave the whole campaign one clear Battlefield look.

Challenges the audience controls

The core goal was to show off Battlefield 6’s classes and game modes, so creators got a set of in-game challenges that mirrored achievements in the game. Viewers then steered the stream through live polls, choosing which class and which mode the creator had to complete next. One option dropped out each round, so every class and mode got its moment as creators worked through the challenges to collect dog tags.

All of it ran from GETREKT’s production dashboard: one browser source, one click to start a poll or a challenge, and the animations handled the rest. Creators could focus on playing.

Drops on YouTube, not only Twitch

Twitch Drops reward viewers with codes for watching. YouTube Gaming has no equivalent, so GETREKT Labs built one. Creators were automatically given codes from EA in the dashboard and revealed them on stream, either on a timer or by hand, sending YouTube viewers into the closed beta too. For the launch and REDSEC streams, we used the same setup to extend drops to YouTube Live, and rewarded completed in-stream challenges with gifted Twitch subscriptions.

What’s next

The partnership has kept going through Battlefield 6’s seasons, including the UK Cash Cups on Twitch and YouTube in 2026. Huge thanks to the Battlefield team at EA and to Matt Kidd and the team at GETREKT Labs.
