Creator Codes helped send Red to space in Angry Birds 2

RovioWehype x Rovio

How many people can say they sent something to space?

The Angry Birds 2 Space event kicked off at TwitchCon with a drone show, followed by a creator and community challenge where players and creators jointly collected Feathers in Angry Birds 2 to win in game rewards, support the Alveus sanctuary for animal welfare and actually send Red to space.

Creator Codes in a new role

In a first time use case, Rovio used Creator Codes from its creator program to help send Red to space. Wehype and Nexus helped power the campaign.

Huge thanks to the teams at the Angry Birds 2 studio, Rovio Entertainment and SEGA for making it happen.

Creator Codes, our Support-A-Creator program, usually pay creators when their community spends in a game. This campaign showed they can also rally a community around a shared goal. Read more in our guide to gaming creator programs.
