Introducing Creator Stores: Sell your game through creator communities
Wehype
Players find their next game in streams, clips and videos. Then they leave, search for it in a store and, more often than not, the moment is gone. The creator who sparked the interest rarely shares in the sale.
Today we’re launching Creator Stores to close that gap.
A store on every Community Page
Every creator on Wehype already has a Community Page, where their viewers join giveaways and unlock Community Rewards while they stream. That page now has a store too.
Fans browse games and buy official keys right there, on the page of the creator they follow. Games the creator has played recently show up first. Before checkout, fans choose how much of the purchase goes to the creator, from the best price to full support.
Why fans buy
People want to support the creators and communities they belong to. Creator Stores make buying the game one more way to do that. Support is visible to the community through shoutouts, badges and alerts, and when a creator is actively playing a game, their fans can unlock a discount on it.
What it means for publishers
- Zero integration. Upload your keys to Wehype. No development work and no upfront cost.
- We handle the commerce. Regions, pricing, payments, tax, fraud and chargebacks sit with Wehype, like with any retail partner.
- A new sales channel. No performance marketing. Sales come through creators who are already playing your game.
- Attribution per creator. See exactly which creators drive revenue and media value.
- Games and bundles. Sell the game on its own or bundled with in-game items, as Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG or custom codes.
Creator Stores complete the Generate part of what we do, next to Creator Codes, which pay creators when their community spends inside your game. Stores sell through the creator’s community instead, with nothing to build on your side.
