Creative Assembly is the British video game developer behind the pioneering Total War series. Since 2019, Wehype has been a continuous partner of Creative Assembly — working together to promote games such as A Total War Saga: TROY, Total War: ROME REMASTERED and a number of DLC launches.

In our partnership in early 2022 for the launch of Total War: Warhammer III, Creative Assembly came to Wehype with the aim of attracting new players, while promoting the news about the game now being available on PC Game Pass.

A Long-term, Multi-campaign Partnership

To get things started, we matched 10 very talented YouTube creators alongside 32 hardcore Twitch creators — supporting a mix of popular strategy players and Total War enthusiasts from various markets across the US and Europe.


Via Twitch’s Let’s Play format, we showcased the game on the day of launch via branded banners and links to download the game. For YouTube, we deployed the Dedicated and Integrated formats — with creators featuring gameplay and embedded CTAs to encourage downloads.

Meeting (and Exceeding) Original Goals

The campaign reached over 10 million viewers on Twitch, and 1.2 million on YouTube — surpassing all of Creative Assembly’s expectations. This latest campaign builds on years of joint success across a number of campaigns. In fact, over the past three years, we’ve delivered over 50 million viewer minutes on Twitch, and a total of nine successful campaigns. We can’t wait to join forces once more.
